I just realized I actually do have a black eye from seeing Amon Amarth a few days ago. The funny story behind it is I remember exactly how it happened. I was moshing, there was a big circle pit and I believe it was an elbow that hit me right in the fucking face. And I almost went unconscious.
As I was falling to the ground, some guy caught me mid air, put his arm around my shoulder and we continued to mosh for the rest of the song. It sounds like the lyrics of a cheesy metal song. A metal brother lifted up a wounded warrior in the heat of battle to continue the fight.
For the rest of the song all I had stuck in my head while moshing was “Brothers of Metal” by Manowar xD

I really have no idea why this got so many notes but I thought I’d share my story with the daytime bloggers since people seemed to like it. haha

RIGHT IN THE BRUTAL FEELS
Hahahaha, true story, some of the most thoughtful people ever are in mosh pits.
I was in the pit at the last Amon Amarth show at the Wiltern (playing War of the Gods) and I had slipped on some (presumably) beer and went down and this dude, without missing a step lifts me up and we just keep moshing.
Hahahaha, and I remember seeing you there after the show and you looked FUCKED UP. Hahahaha.

Duuuuude you should have come and said hello. haha
Hell, maybe you did and I don’t even remember. I was pretty gone by the end of it. I didn’t want to pay the extreme drink prices so I downed the rest of my mead at home, had a few shots, a rum and coke and once I got to Riverside I had an Apple Ale and stopped at a place called Taco Station with my friend Raven, Sundai and Val. Finally making it to the venue I had a Blue Moon Sundai bought me. Actually I think I have a problem… lol.
It was really fucking cool meeting some of my followers though. No drama, no bullshit, no fights.

Here’s a picture of that night marinasaysweee just sent me of the circle pit. I was standing in the center of the pit most of the night when I wasn’t moshing. Eye of the storm HAHA!

Anonymous said: I wish I could erase Those words I said The ones I never meant But mainly The ones my heart came attached to Wishing only reminds me That words are ink on a page I can wish for them to vanish As I crumple this sheet of memories As I tear And smudge And cross out again and again soon I realize wishing works As I see these torn up shreds before me Wishing a heart away is an easy thing I cannot wish The ghost of my heart Away from the black ink words that you possess for that my friend I am sorry

The ability to use words in such way that you have is a rarely seen talent. And I certainly appreciate them being used towards me, despite how melancholy this seems to be. I think I know who you are, anonymous. And I wish you the best. Hopefully one day you won’t have to hide behind the anonymous mask, and we can find each other once more.
